This Sunday, 4-7 p.m., at The Colony, chefs from at least 15 area restaurants will serve samples of their fare as part of the 23rd annual Great Chefs Tasting Party.

Don’t be fooled by thinking it must be too late to buy tickets to the Nov. 20 event, which benefits United Cerebral Palsy of Palm Beach, a chapter of United Cerebral Palsy of South Florida.

Tickets, $85 apiece, are available at the door and tender entry into a poolside array of food offerings. Plus, there’s a wine tasting, live music, a silent auction and raffle giveaways.

Participating restaurants sending a chef or two to the event at The Colony include Kapow! Asian Noodle Bar, Bice, Sprinkles, Gourmet Galaxy, Leila, Field of Greens, Brogue’s Down Under, Talay Thai and John Bull English Pub.

Also represented: Hoffman’s Chocolates, Le Petit Pain French Bakery and Militello’s Italian Bakery.

Of course, The Colony, with the home-court advantage, will serve up fare of its own as some of its chefs step outside of the hotel’s Polo Steaks & Seafood to join the poolside festivities.

A judges’ panel—food editors, local notables and chefs—will taste everything and vote a winner in “best” categories, including appetizer, entree, dessert and presentation.

Guests can weight in on the “People’s Choice” award.
